Assalamulaikum warahmatullah,
This is the first overseas assignment I had in PETRONAS. I would consider myself lucky. The pictures comprises of 2 trips.
The first one was back in February 2006. Mainly pictures in Cairo. We had a meeting one day with the partner and contractor. And the next day we went touring to the pyramid of giza, citadel (salahuddin al ayubi's fort), masjid al hussin, and khan khalili. The next day we went to museum, maqam imam shafei and other sahabah.
The second one was last 2 weeks. This is more interesting, challenging and awesome experience. We went to the Western Desert of Egypt. It is actually the extension of Sahara Desert in Libya. The trip took us 8 hours from Cairo. We went from views of tamar then the trees get smaller and smaller until we actually arrive to a place where there is nothing on top of it except gravels of limestone and dolomite and mudflats in a few places. totally a barren desert.
